This thought has been ruminating in my head for a few days…

Psalm 103:12 says that God removes our sins from us as far as the East is from the West.

Psalm 56:8 says that God remembers our tears and saves them in bottles.

So….

When we confess and ask for forgiveness, God doesn’t remember our sins, but he takes careful note of our suffering so that not even a single tear is forgotten.
